Hey guys and girls... its time to get together again for Autosports second trip to the brilliant little track "Marulan Driver Training Centre"

Hope we can all have as much fun as we did last time we were there...

We are limiting this to 35 drivers
$110 per driver

To register, all you have to do is click on this link http://tixi.com.au/marulan

We will be running 6 cars on the track at a time, there will be an out lap and then 6 flying laps and a cool down lap. Considering that even average cars will be lapping in around 50 seconds each lap... there will be more than ample track time for all.

If anyone has any questions, give a yell or ask in this thread.

PS... Any of you guys watch F1 qualifying?

OUCH...

This is an awesome track and really rewards good ballsy drivers rather than big power cars. I'll be there for sure.

Who's coming along to try and beat me?

Yep, i'm in, paid up today. Can't wait to check it out. I looks like a LOT of fun in the vids i've seen.

Ugh, Marty, that photo is not good. I cringed when I saw the accident. Poor dude, rotten luck.

Marty can I just confirm that i'm paid up and in? I haven't had any emails from Autosports and just wanted to check that it's all good.

Now, gotta go and find some youtube vids to try and learn the lines around this place :)

For those who haven't driven this track before, here is some in-car footage from yesterday

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3iQjxVUT2w

I was doing 43.x most of the day and had a best of 43.00, which is the fastest time for a street car so far. Time for you lads to pull your finger out and come down to beat it. I know there is a couple on here who should be able to do it

This is a great track. By the end of a 15 min session, I was buggered! You're busy the whole time.

Top speed in my car was only about 130 but it's narrow, off cambered in places, and there is more than one way to attack just about every corner.

Hand timed, I seem to be in the 47's or thereabouts. Plenty of room for improvement with more practice. Can't wait to get back.

no worries man, ill see you out there when i get some semi's on

what tyres were u using tmb.
im currently setting my car up for some marulan time attack and eventually would like to do wakefield as well so ive got a few thiungs left before i hit the track.

just curious, on these days @ marulan, is it pure time attack only or is it split up with some drift prac as well ?

I was on trashed RE55's. This was about my 8th track day on them.

If there is enough interest in a drift session, they sometimes hold one near the end of the day.

IDA runs drift days at this track if that is your thing. I certainly wouldn't want to be trying to do grip on the same day as drifters are out there as they throw dirt all over the track with all their off track excursions.

oh okay, thats alright then.
i was mainly after some fun skids around the track to end the day.
skids are fun but so is time attack and time attack is something i wanna do next.
any experience on the kuhmo KU36 or Federal SS595RS semis ?

obviously tyres play a major role & they are the most expensive so i wanna make sure i get what i pay for and not some shonky handling tyre.

I haven;t really used either of those tyres. I think Dave like the federals he had though
