Unlike other clubs, CircuitClub keeps their entry numbers and participant names secret, so without asking if there are spare spots there is no way of knowing.

Dunno why. I think its counter-productive personally. I'd be more keen to enter a day that I knew had similar cars to mine going, rather than paying up then finding out that the day is all hondas and various other shitters

That is the big attraction to this day, seems there are heaps of Silvia's going, so I HAVE to get in on the action!

Understand what you are saying as I wouldn't have known how many Silvia's were going if I didn't read these forums...

I have sent a PM but hopefully a place is still available.

Only bad thing is I wont have done the mods I wanted to in time for the day lol Car should still do OK hopefully!!!!

Just from an admin point of view, Circuit Club is comprised of 4+ people, and is run solely as a side project on top of the full-time jobs that we all carry. There is someone specific in charge of each job e.g. I do not deal directly with bookings, cash - this is handled by someone else hence I do not keep tabs on exactly who has booked in (there could be 50+cars), nor do I think that the other participants would appreciate me posting a list of names/cars that will be there on the day, especially on forums or in places they don't know of.

We are trying to encourage people to come to the track, and perfect their driving skill, not necessarily compete based on type of car etc. Circuit Club is for people of all driving skills to try their skills in a controlled environment, rather than on the street.

Not trying to discredit anything you are saying, or how you run things at SilviaNSW. You guys on the admin team run a tight ship here, with all the right reasons in trying to establish a more proactive car community.

I respect that, and in my own wider interests and participation only want to encourage more Silvia's (and other cars here) to consider track events, as well as drift which seems to be the predominant agenda at the moment.

Certainly if there are close to 10-20 spots left, I will usually post up on the forums I am affiliated with to warn people to book soon or miss out. I cross reference this data at weekly face-to-face meetings I attend.

Hopefully that gives you the point of view I'm coming from.

Cheers, Jay.

P.S. The event hasn't sold out yet! Email me for a booking form. 8)

Ditto to that. I used to go to Wakefield by myself on open days. They were boring as all hell, noone to talk to except the birds and the bees. Got some nice laps though but still - you couldnt figure out if you going faster/slower, noone to overtake and I wasn't about to fork out $500 for my own transponder/lap timer to find out.

But look as much as I hate Hondas and most honda-boy attitudes, Circuit Club is fun because you get all these random cars, cars you didn't know could beat you, beat you. And for me, if I'm modding my car, I need to know I'm doing it for good reason, and that I'm seeing results. There is nothing better than a bit of friendly competition. And if you're too good for everyone, there's always supersprints and professional competition to look forward to.

Hey man, that's why I post on this forum and encourage other people who read this post to post up if you're coming too. And its awesome you guys are all coming!

You'll actually be suprised because most of the regular Circuit Clubbers (including the guys who started Circuit Club, not me) are not on forums at all. They have no idea about forums, or what goes on out there.

And please don't get too obsessed with doing mods before you go to the track - you'll find that when you put new mods in (depends what it is) you will be slower before you get faster (run-in time, learning curve).

I think our cars fall under the various other shitters bracket though. They are shit enough to not get photos taken of them anyway :P

The photographers used at these days do tend to avoid taking photos of anything non-honda or euro
