Sounds to me like the Micra Croydon Autosports were building years ago with the aim at the Fastest FWD title.

getting OwNeD by a Micra would suck!

I'm trying to organise to see it this weekend. Can anyone tell me details about the Croydon car so I can see if this car is in fact it?

Will hopefully get pics.

You guys must have heard of the show top gear.

A reviewer on it said that the worst car he has ever driven was the Nissan Micra

I don't know nething about the Micra, can you explain to me why he would say this?

I think a stock Micra would be nothing more than a shoppingtrolley with an engine. Intensely boring. My friend's however, is stupidly modified (in a cool way) to be a sleeper, which is the appeal of this particular car.

Finally saw the little beast today. It is the biggest sleeper I have eer seen. It has a stock body (light bluey green), black painted steel wheels, even a subtle exhaust tip.

Front mount is big but well hidden behind factory front bar. Doesn't jump out but can be seen if looked for. He just upgraded the brakes to N14 SSS spec too.

He took me for a ride but he wouldn't really give it any for me. the one time he did it just wheel spun so i couldn't feel any rush at all. The whole way through second, in a Micra! Pretty cool to cruise in and beat people in I would imagine.

He said he might bring it to a future dyno day if it is on a Saturday. Apparently it made 120kw @ wheels and weighs about 800kg.

As for pics he said there are some on a Micra club website from before he bought it. Wil have to look that up and post links.

Ok, found some pics. It looks like they were taken outside his house, as the pics look familiar (I was there this afternoon).

First row of pics on the page.

That is the appeal, no one would ever suspect it. 8)
They wonder what the hell a Micra is revving next to them at the lights, and then they get hammered by it! Imagine the looks on V8 commodore driver's faces, that is worth the price of the car alone. :D

With that power to weight ratio the car would run twelves at worst, if it gets traction.

He reckons it's almost impossible to get traction in the lower gears. It doesn't boost until fairly high, revs to about 8 grand, so when it comes on boost it just wheelspins. I saw this when it started to boost in first and broke traction, so he shifted into second and it wheelspun the whole way through the gear, so he backed off. You should see peoples faces as they watch it smoke the tyres. :D
