I like your "when" not "if" confidence in the VCT on Dum's motor, WHY. :P

Well knowing Dumhed's total neglect in observing the rev limiter on his NA, I would have to agree with you that i may not last too long.

neglect!?

You can't neglect it, cos the engine stops revving!

It's the Jap equivalent of a shift light :P

Actually I made good use of the rev limiter (~14500rpm) on my bike, cos with that you can hold the throttle flat out and change gears with no clutch right when the limiter kicks in 8)

Omg dude this thing boosts way better than my old 626. Really nice and steady unlike the CRAZY on/off boost. Plus he put a pod on the car so it makes this psh psh psh noise  8) tis cool!

One thing I think i noticed was the lag. I went from first to second and the boost just hesitated. Im guessing the turbo was slowing down beacause of air getting backed up in the piping then causing that noise out the pod. now do CA18s like atmo BOVs?

Oh yeah went for a little drive in the S bends we got near gosford and DAAAAAMN backoff oversteer on boost KICKS A$$!!!! Of course nobody was around and there were no houses so it was safe 8)

Silvias rock and so do their engines :D

P.S - White gazelle hub caps ROCK!!!! who needs 17' ppffft :P

more pics, info/specs! sounds very interesting. since i still have the motor from my torn up silvia, ive been thinking of joining the elite ranks and getting a gazelle! notchback of course, ive done a little web research and i dont know, i think its growing on me. :D

so does the ca18det fit like a glove?
does it match straight up to the ca20 gearbox?
any real issues with the conversion?

i saw a pic of nicely kitted one, looked like nissans answer to initial d!

Fits a bit too easy 8)
CA20E gearbox according JMS is the exact same gearbox used in the silvia CA18DET S13 Turbo. Because funds ran low I was unable to finish the exhaust so it got a 2'5 dump pipe to the 2.5 inch high flow cat then... LOL wait for it, It goes into the stock CA20E exhaust 2' POWA!
No real issues. Just hard to find aftermarket suspension components.

Soon Ill be going for a dyno run to Up the boost and see how good it runs with the new ecu. Should have the 3' from cat back in by then too :)

Pics soon
