A guy I know that works at the local Mobil has picked up an 89 model R32 GTR just a few days ago. His car before (I dont think he has sold it yet) was a really nice Black 180SX. He was thinking to get an S15 but went GTR. He actually told me that his is VERY happy with it and is happy that he got the GTR over S15 and loves the way the car drives.

Oh and he chopped a modified S15 on the way back from the dealership -"easily". 8)

ok. if you have an S14 now, going to an S15 is only going to get you a newer car. on the performance scale nothing is amazingly improved from one to the other.

a GTR is a very different car. as has been stated,it's heavier, more complex, and they can be a nightmare to work on.
they have loads of potential when it comes to going faster though, but that all depends on your budget. unless you have big bucks to sink into it,don't expect it to blow your mind.

the silvia can give you pretty awesome cornering ability, certainly more than most people have the balls to go for when the car is setup properly,
and these days 500hp at the flywheel, reliably, is not unattainable.

you can also go as quick as a GTR in a straightline if that's what you want.
again,it comes down to prep and money.

I wouldn't be stepping from a 14 to a 15 unless my 14 was trashed. there's not enough there to warrant the extra money in my eyes. you can get a 14 going a lot better than a 15 for the 15's stock purchase price.

as for the GTR,I say do it if you've driven one and like them. they have their downsides, but are a good all-round car,and if you're biased towards drag racing, they'll be far more reliable than a silvia in the long run.
just don't launch from every light on the limiter...
