I rang around to get quotes for a full turbo-back 3" exhaust system. The cheapest dude was $950 Tuffys (Glebe/Newtown) - mandrell bent, mild steel, stainless muffler and cannon tip. But when I got there, the dude took one look under the bonnet and refused to touch it 'cos he would have to take out the ABS etc. and the dump pipe is too close to the firewall (ie. very difficult to fit) :-?

Anyway, now I am realising why people pay $$$ to get a Jap system 'cos it all fits just right first time.

So, can anyone tell me where to get a good 3" turbo-back exhaust done? (*NB: Must be for 180SX 'cos S14 and S15's have a different layout under the bonnet)

Try Tuffy's at Waterloo. I am guessing you went to the one on Salisbury rd opposite the panel beaters. Alternatively order a CES dump pipe and get a cat back knocked up or buy a jap brand.

buy a $100 MIG welder, fix it, then get the flanges laser cut, and make it yourself out of pipe you got for free :)

Go to turbo exhaust centre in Wethrill park and you will save big time. This place actually makes 99% of all bolt on kits in Australia for s13's 14's and 15's, GTR's HSV's etc including all the known brands (some in this post) where other companies just rebadge them as there own. This place is a goldmine!
