Artarmon Smash, thats across the road from Hybrid Development I think. Carlotta st? Never seen their work tho.

The S15 colors are easy to match. Standox and spies Hecker forumlas are very close matches. Whats the color of your car? The silver and Navy S15's I think would be the hardest color to match. Not the base color, but I rekon the clear coat could make it more shiny than the rest of the car.

I would expect to pay around $200 for a front guard- tad more for the doors, as they should remove the door handles and rubbers first. The rear quarters nfi, coz theyd have to clear coat from the rear 1/4 to the roof both sides, as you dont have a join or a crease.
Im guessing you have a S15 from your number plates.

did you bend the hinge or the actual plate?
you could fix the hinge yourself and save the $$$

BTW: TNC smash in brookvale did mine and were pretty good, lifetime guarantee.... they can beat my panels anytime....

Not sure Utenvy,
I am think its the bracket, but evrytime I try and move it or adjust it, it seems to make it worse. Also I dont know what the placement etc it was before I bent it, any photos may help!

Spies Hecker paints match well, although make take a week or two to fully lose the 'new paint effect' so that it blends right in.

Lets see whats involved. These are my APPROX figures. (dont hold me to these figures, add in GST and that shi t to.)

remove headlight.
remove bumper. $50
repair bumper? (plastic welder, depends on damage). $100
repair panel and prep $ 150
repaint panel $150
repaint bumper $200
miscellaneous. $150

$800-$1000. Thats my GUESS. The paint they would use no more than 250ml, which can be bought for $45. Which would be incorporated into the painting. They need to use plsatic primer for ya bumper, and 2 pac for the guard. ANyway its a fair bit of work to be done. Mainly prepping the car before we ever see it.Thats where the manual labour costs alot.

Once again it depends on the damage of the gurad.

You will know a really good a panelbeater painter will have a seperate spray booth, and a seperate highfill booth. That would be a good question to ask.

JUST DONT THINK CHEAPER IS BETTER. PAy for quality, and a shop whos busy busy busy.

no one ever expects a 4 digit bill, but after a while you asume the worst.

every time i get something fixed or done i try to image at least double what it will cost!

so you can relax when they actually give you the bill!

got couple of quotes today..
because theres a dent on the LH quarter panel and its close to the bonnet, they will need to blend the bonnet too.. cos it may appear a different colour. they quoted 750.
but another place said they didnt need to. they quoted 650.
can anyone confirm if this is necessary?

at least its not a 4 digit bill..
but still friggin expensive!

for $100, you are probably better off having the bonnet blended.

That is if it is really close to the other damage.
