hi all,

after taking my car to nissan for a regular service i inspected the
engine bay and i found this red liquid (almost cordial like) sprayed
all over the engine, air box, behind the lights, pretty much everywhere.
i thought it might have been the power steering fluid coz it's of that
colour. nyway, i rang nissan up and took the car back to the service
department. the guy at the desk had a look and then spoke to one
of the mechanics. he then tells me it's harmless and it's used to
pretty up the engine bay and he'll make sure that they don't use
it nymore.

now, i wasn't sure if this guy was bullshitting coz i've never experienced
this but can anyone verify if he was telling me the truth?

cheers!

i had the same sorta stuff on my engine from where i got it (not a nissan workshop) and they also said it was used to clean the engine. I think it is a form of oily coating to keep it clean for longer maybe anyway really have no idea but i havent had problem with car with that stuff on it.

I reckon that's gotta give at least a 10% power increase then
