Yeah it's so true. Ive just finished fabricating my own front and rear strut braces and had a front camber kit installed and the car now holds the road much firmer. I can come in harder and accelerate out of the turn earlier without felling sketchy. But the RB power would still be nice to haveon tap.

With the RB conversion..... can you use the RB computer or you have to buy a aftermarket one?

stock RB ecu is fine but not widely tuneable, you will benefit from an aftermarket ecu if you got the cash. GO EMS!!!!!! :P

hey,

i am doing a rb25det in a s13 currently, there have been a few minor hick ups which have been a pain in the arse.

if you are really interested in doing that i can give u a few ideas but i am still having trouble myself with minor things.

if anyone knows the following.

-what gear box mount do i use, and r33 one or a s13 one

-what mods to the tailshft as its to long. do i use the r33 yoke to the gbox.

-has anyone used the r33 radiator.

-clearance with the plenum what to do?

the motor has been in and out a few times now. 4 ahhhhhhhh

but i got the head off just replacing a few seals, oring, oil cooler, studds. etc.

it will be going in for good once its all back together, just wonna no what other people have used in the above dramas i am having.

cheers

p.s i get my P's in dember and want it all done so i gotta hustle a bit.

my conversion not engineered is 5500, 600 extra for engineers at the moment. that includes, 600 hp fuel pump, thermo fans, computer, wired up, the lot.

its taken 6 months so far but thats cause i earn $9.00 an hour at the super market but its all good.

Use the yoke off the gear box you are using i dont know any places in melb that will mod your tail shaft but good engineering shop will do it and balance it for about $300

I'm doing an rb20 conversion and I used the skyline gearbox crossmember, the skyline yoke, I used the skyline radiator but I had to shorten the rubber mounts at the bottom to get the bonnet to shut. I don't know what to do with the clearance of the plenum.

A guy I know who did the RB25 conversion put a bonnet scoop type thing to prevent the plenum from hitting the bonnet. Look alright as long as its subtle.

for the bonnet i think i am just going to chop the ribbing out to suit, and then raise the bonnet at the hinges so it sits up with abouta 3 or 4cm hgap. This will look pretty trick too and let the heat out.

what do u think bonnet scoops not a ral fan of on the sil's.

so you only used the rb yoke and rb32 g-box mount?

you didn't have to chop any part of the tail shaft at all did u to shorten it?

and with the g-box mount did u have to weld anything on so all holes could be screwe into cause thaqt aren't lining up on mine.

cheers
