2k for cooler alone is damn expensive.
unless your a brand name type of dude..

EXQSME > had some for about 800bucks NEW BAR and PLATE 600X400 coolers from DNA Motorsports. and they are of good quality and would flow more than enough if your only chasing up to 250kw@rw

piping for the cooler and muff would cost about 600 bucks customed
3" mandrels.

unless you want shinny stainless ones.

highflow 3" cat about 300 bucks
muffler about 400-500 bucks

Theres my estimate of $2100 fo a full setup.
but like i said - if you want all brand name gear right up to the gaskets and bolts then youd be looking at big $$$$$$$$$$$

just my 2cents :D

I guess i have spent a fair bit on my mods... especially "second time around"... but i look at it this way if my cars worth $40000+ i wasn't gonna try save a few buck and sacrifice "PROVEN" Quality/performance....

Its biased but thats Just my thoughts :D  :D

you get what you pay for...

couldn't agree more.. but i just can't justify paying x amount of money if you can get it for cheaper that does the same thing.

most of the time your paying for the logo on the product.
TRUST cooler would set you back up t 2k ( not that i have anything againts TRUST )
whereas DNA coolers will set you back 800-1k

its good quality too and how much difference would it be flow wise on street application which most likely be 1bar only..
is it worth the extra 1k..

thats just an example..
you guys might look at it differently cos its an S15.

but hey - if you've got extra $$$$ then WHY NOT...
my extra 2cents... :D

well when someone runs into the back of your import and a little dent in the hatch is estimated to cost 3k to fix - price doesn't weigh heavily into the choice :D

You just get a nice cheque from the insurance company and spend it on mods :D

I honestly believe that Japanese parts have been tried and tested in the most extreme situations, they're battle proven

well said Allen GTiR.... "Battle Poven" 8)

In regards to the DNA coolers compared to the TRUST coolers.... i was actually gonna buy one had a look at them and all :D but when i had a look at the quality of the the TRUST coolers and core design it was just much better and aesthetically it looked so much better aswell (its the RICER in me talking....)

but if i was tight for money i would have settled for DNA but if i was given a choice TRUST would be the better option hands down!!!! :D :D :D

My 2cents

Allan, you got ripped hard :D:D:D:D:D i dont know how you can justify $2100 for an exhaust system....... i can buy a Trust FMIC kit for less than that :D:D:D:D:D

Liverpool Exhaust is the only place i would take my car to. Their work is awesome. I not long ago got my g/f's 200SX done there and it was extremely well priced. I am pretty sure it was only about $800 from the cat back and that included a stanless muffler with the removable baffle. It sounds damn fine and doesnt drone at all. Its the sort of system that is loud when you stand on it but can be cruised along quietly.

yes i agree. between TRUST and DNA then no doubt. :D
but if you had to pay for it - is it worth the extra 1K for the extra looks and extra flow. how much better would it flow with standard T28BB with 1 bar.... i wreckon very similar.

only when you get up to bigger turbo and higher boost they yeah it'll be "BATTLE PROVEN" as you guys call it.. :D

you guys with S15s just have to much money :D hehehehehe...

Hey guys..
I took my car in to Liverpool Exhausts to get a simple cat back exhaust. The work was pretty good, the car sounds great and it goes harder too. But......I do have ONE gripe about the job they did..
You know that bracket or "strap" that holds the muffler ?
well i thought they would take the old one off and make a new circular one for the barrel muffler i put in....instead they just welded the old "strap" on to it.....you cant see it unless you lift the car up....
but it did annoy me a little..
I just want to know if they were cutting corners or do most exhaust centres do that ??

if it's not a jap system then i'd go for a reputable aussie system. something like aps, hitech or ces. a full exhaust from these
guys is around the $2100 mark. nything less, i wouldn't
change my exhaust.

just something to keep in mind about liverpool:

Ido9s... Livo... do a really good job :D my old S15 exhaust was done by them but if you payed $800.00 they ripped you off a little cause i got my full system done by them (turbo back) for $900 and that was using one of there more expensive mufflers cannon style with the TIG welding.... but i did keep the factory CAT

just a bracket dude.. you prolly cant even see it.
But yeah they should have at least mande new ones.
when i got my VTIR civic coupe done with HITECH a little while ago then made up new brackets for the muff and piping..

but the price diff is huge.. :D
for something like that - i'm not too picky.
but if the piping is all dodgy then different story.. :D
