I have heard a lot of ppl say that, 18"s will make the ride too bumby so I went with 17"s.
But I seriously cannot feel any difference. It is even smoother, I guess that is due to new tyres.
Very happy. :P

What size rubber did you chuck on them and what width are the wheels? DId you need to roll the guards at all? I'm tossing up between 17's or 18's aswell. Cheers. - Take some pics, be keen to see how it looks mate.

Click on the link below and have a look a the pics on my website.
18" 235/40 on 8" rims.
I have not lowerd it so there is plenty, I mean plenty of clearence so no need to roll the guards.
But am looking to drop it 1 1/2" at the front and 1" at the back and probably will need to roll the gaurds then.
It's really funny on a full tank of petrol the rear clear the guard by approx 1" but on an empty tank it's over 2"s.
If you go with 18" be prepared to pay heaps more for decent rubber compared to 17"s.

I am getting a really rough ride when I go over 100km/h on the freeway.

The steering wheel has a vibration through it thats very annoying.
Nissan tell me they have rotated and balanced and aligned it , yet it still happens.

Now they are telling me that it could be because the tyres are lumpy???

Whats your thoguhts?

Go to someone that knows what they are doing, i.e. not Nissan.
Have you been doing any handbrakeies :P
Didn't you hit a gutter, and damaged the front a while ago or was that someone else??
