i just installed the win xp service pack 1 and its fucked around with all my settings now i have the text on my desktop shortcuts highlighted in blue and ie6 is displaying large text and a heap of white background instead of showing the website how it was ment to be shown for example on performance forums which used to be a black backgroundnow shows up as a white background
how do i fix these problems up as they are giving me the shits and if i cant fix them i will uninstall the service pack anyone know what to do or have ideas on how to fix it without removing the service pack

That is really wierd, I installed it ages ago on 2 PC's and both are fine, none of that (virus sounding) crap.
If it is registerd then ring Microsoft for support, hahah yeah right.

Whats the text appearing on the desktop ?

Is it build number etc ?

Might I ask if your running the "Devils Own" copy ?

wierd indeed.

We have never come accross that at work and we SP1 all our build machines.

We have notices occasionally that SP1 will cause problems on certain notebooks etc :(
