is there anyway you can tell the difference between a t28bb and a non bb just wanna make sure we are geting what we payfor

long story short t28bb was spose to go on the car yet wen we got it back it had the BLOWN half ca T25 half sr T25g turbo on it

so i wanna make sure im geting what i paid for

Man,
just check the bearing housing , if it is a bb the housing has a bigger diameter than a sleeve bearing. + there is actually more play in the spindle than a sleeve bearing, thus being as the bb bearing assy heats up it will expand to take up the slack.

There will also be a bolt in the side of the core that looks like it does nothing. Its acctually a pre load adjustment so dont touch it but the plain bearings garrets dont have it.

With the T28BB...what sort of power gain are you looking at over a normal T25?

Currently my one is putting out 146kw @ the wheels, should be getting a t28bb sometime next week hopefully.
