UPDATE

so.. i think it is the end for the 25.

after some fun @ mac pass, the car started missing at the end of the night.
wouldn't boost properly, stuttering, rough idle, sounded funny when it did boost.

problems;
1) 1 bolt fell off screamer pipe so it was open (hence funny sound) so everytime i gated, massive amounts of heat melted the wiring loom & o2 sensor loom......

2) vaccum line from ebc to wastegate melted as it was near the screamer, the hose was as hard as plastic and just snapped in half

3) biggest problem was king amount of blow by in all cooler/intake pipes/afm/filter

Me and a mate ripped out the cooler kit + intake/filter and gave it a good clean out.
the AFM was completely covered in oil

Looks like my rings are fuked?????
but it's not blowing any blue/grey smoke tho.

car ran fine after cleaning the pipes/afm
car has lost power and feels like shit.

so after installing the catchcan, its been driving fine so far so looks like its doing its job and keeping the oil away from the afm which was causing it idle funny before.

Will be removing sparkies today as i rekon they're full of oil and the car does stutter on low revs.. lets see if new plugs won't make it stutter anymore.

even before i did the conversion, i did notice a tiny amount of oil around the spark plug rings so i suspect it was worn from day 1. The car still drives so thats the main thing for now as my new motor is getting done.

New plans hopefully to be completed in 4-6months time.

Rebuilt motor (det block with oil squirters yay)
N1 oil pump
N1 turbos
stage 1 cams & adj cam gear (ex)
port/polish head
acl rod & main race bearings
arp head & main studs
cometic metal head gasket

More updates soon.

Could it be a turbo seal ?
I guess a compression test might be an idea before a teardown.

yeah, give it a comp test and see what it shows.

It could be rings or a ring land but you wont know until you test it.

yeah im doing a comp test soon but it doesn't matter anyway, its spitting out oil in the pipes & smoking at the oil cap, ive already obtained a block and the build will be starting soon.
i didnt expect the de+t to last long judging by the way i drive it lol

Nice work.

Are those forgies? What compression?

Who is building the engine?

Yeah they are,
9:1 comp ratio
KVK engines did all the machining but my mechanic is putting the motor in.

BAM BAM
UPDATE - ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what up ladies,
car is up and running,
still running in atm, only clocked 2km atm lol
car runs good, tempted to give it a hit but can't.
was on the dyno and it pulled around 175rwkw @ 8psi (straight off the actuators) - cant wait to screw more boost and see this animal pull!
feels good, purrs like a GTR, HKS silent power keeps things very quiet 8)

WTB: Stock R34 GTT front bar silver preferred

over the xmas break, few things will need to be done;
- brakes feel spongey & gay as, so needs to be bled & new fluid put in. (does anyone know if its possible to bleed from the ABS unit and if so, who can do it?)
- tidy up engine bay
- make a custom pod cover
- fit tyres to rims & fit on car (18x9.5 +15 / 18x10.5 +35), running stockies on the rear = homo as
- trim front bar more to clear fmic & pipes
- give the car a fking good detail & clean
- install blitz BLM gauges
- get new braided lines for oil cooler + fit this baby up.

feels good to be back.
thank you.
