to say i'm pretty fucking happy would be an understatement. 285rwkw with 20psi by 3600! It's a bit rough as the bkr7e's were breaking down so need to get some standard electrode ones.

But huge problems, it won't idle properly with the IAC plugged in....

Massive thanks to yavuz at unigroup for his advice on cam selection and coming in today to get the tune done for me.

car will have some fast! More than double the n/a power :)

That's more power than the RB25 with the same turbo isn't it?
*insert "told ya so" here*

The BKR plugs should be fine, but gap them down to .6mm
I would also go to an 8 heat range for that sort of power.

Yep, more power than the 25 ever made with it, though it was never really tuned properly as i never resolved the boost control problems

Yavuz just reckoned it was because of the v groove so a switch to bkr7es as opposed to 7e will fix it.

It actually pulled a 289 on one run with a bit more boost but the boost controller was having a dumby spit and it was just a freak bump that went higher. 289 is more than the skyline ever made!

I've always found the V groove plugs to work well, but worth trying the normal ones :)

Love the 3500rpm powerband! Any word on what transient response is like?

Out of interest, if you assume 270 brake kW from the 225 rear wheel kW at 4400rpm on that sheet (20% losses), it's making just under 600 Nm of torque. Very impressive number from a 2L engine..

Massive congrats.

That is a great result - no wonder your wrapped!

Car is going to be an animal out on the track. The 20psi by 3600 rpm is almost unbelievable. Absolute perfect set-up.

Cam gears?

I want one :D

If you don't get 1:06 around wakefield first time out, you need to hand in your keys!

My car feels insanely quick with only 230rwkw and ~950kg. I can't imagine how yours will be

You reckon he should do 1:06 first time out? Thats putting the pressure on!

I reckon it may take a track day or two before he gets used to the new power and becomes confident with the car.

Is your car 950kg! Did you weigh it?

BTW are you two guys putting cages in your cars?

Well not a 1:06 flat. I'll allow him to have a practice day before chasing 1:06.00

950kg is a guess. Dumhed reckons he weighed it at 950, then Dave took more weight out, but then he added turbo stuff. Mine is basically the same as Daves

I got no plans on spending any money on the silvia for a while, but i'm sure Dave is itching to blow more money on his so anything could happen

My focus will be making the sil80 quicker for a while

it was just under 1000kg with most of a tank of fuel.
I'd expect around the 1000 mark now with the changes.

I reckon he would have pulled out near 50kg of crap (probably 10kg of dirt and rust!) since you owned it, but we don't really know how much he added with the turbo stuff
