UPDATE:

Finally had some time to prep the car. Installed:

Trust Sump
50mm radiator w/clutch fan and shroud
Moved oil filter
Bash plate
Pre-rooted Uras front bar
Front under guard brace

Also I:

Fixed driveshaft
Fixed Speedo
Changed plugs/oil/fuel filter
Fixed leaky turbo gasket
Pulled the 1.5way out of this one and replaced it with a weldy

So she is basically ready to go, just need to install my guages, shift light and transplant the Bee-r from the 180 into this one. I'll be taking it to the track this Sunday for its debut.

Sadly the doriteks were sold to fund the trust sump + extra stuff I did to it. Now running mismatched rims I've been hoarding.

Took it to the track on Sunday, got there at 2pm so only got 2 runs, but it handles well and has heaps of power, I was getting used to how snappy it is until someone rolled their car and the rest of the day was called off.

Am now thinking about spraying it in something which will stand out, maybe Kawasaki green with a black roof and bonnet.

Yeah I would like it to be orange but there are just too many Orange/Black S13's around, I want something that will stand out at the track.

It also needs to be a solid colour which I can spray in my backyard in acrylic

Gold would be a bit hard as it’s a metallic colour which is harder to spray. I'm going to get started on this while before it gets too cold as it'll affect the paint finish when drying. So I'll be doing the roof/bonnet/boot as soon as the weather comes good again.

Your car looks pretty beasty, a simple glossy black would suit it me thinks.

I knew i kept this on my comp for a reason.. hahaha

I'd go white, it's the new black.

easier to hide how crap your bodywork is with white also. the opposite shows up every little flaw from metres away...

Yeah too many white cars already though, I'm already a sheep driving an S13 so dont really want to blend in that much. I do like black however it doesn't photograph too well which sucks balls.

Its also a little too cold for a paint job so I'm going to spend the winter prepping the car and getting it primed and sanded so I can do a colour coat as soon as it warms up a bit.

On another note I have some in car footage from a prac day at OPNTH, sorry about the resolution as it should be in 16:9 but youtube squashed it to 4:3 for reasons unknown. Anyone know how to get this uploaded in 16:9? Its originally in 720 x 576, maybe if I converted it to 720p?
