I almost made it to work this morning (less than 10 minutes drive from my home) when this oldish guy pulled out without looking and crashed into the passenger side of my car.
Probably up for a new door and rear quarter now... hopefully i'll get a full re-spray out of it too...
Thing that shits me though, is this guy was trying to dispute who was at fault. I mean come on, half of my car had passed him when he hit me! and he was the one turning right onto the main road, so there is absolutly no question who is at fault here and it's not me.
He even suggested I was speeding. I pointed out the speed bump (one of those metal ones that you HAVE to go slow over) less than a car length behind my car and he shut up then.
He even had the nerve to say that most of the damage he did was already there. Never seen my car before, he just claimed it was existing damage. Funny how the damaged area has blue paint all over it and his car also happens to be blue....
I'm insured etc so I'm not worried. I just hope it gets fixed soon. He said he only has 3rd party insurance. He better not be lying and have no insurance... but yeah, not my problem, my insurance company can deal with that.
Just pissed that such a low speed accident has caused so much damage and had the guy actually looked before pulling out this wouldn't have happened.

What a total fuckwit. Why are people so dishonest sometimes?

I feel for you dude, but as you said you have insurance so they will sort it out! Hopefully, anyway... :x

oh yeah, I need to get quotes for the repair. If anyone can recommend any smash repairers around the Mt Druitt area it would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah i don't get it. There really is no doubt he was in the wrong here, but some people seem to have difficulty owning up to their mistakes, no matter how obvious they are.

On the plus side, when I reported it to my insurance company (Justcar) they were very helpful and sounded quite confident there would be no issues for me.

I'll post some pics tonight. The damage isn't really that bad, but it just shits me. I was a wreck after it happened, was shaking so much I could barely write down his details... by the way I was you'd think my car was written off or something :P

I was having the shittest day already last month when this guy in a brand-spankers new Audi was behind me. He thought he'd be rad and change into the left lane as the queue before the lights was shorter. Instead he just drove into the back of the car I was driving (my sister's car).

Yes, that's right, in stopped traffic.

Luckily, he was really nice and gave all his details and shizniz. Damage wasn't too bad to the Rolla but the front quarter, and front bar of his car were stoved in real bad.

At least he was honest...there are some honest people left!

Of course.

And had the guy been any older he probably would have died and then i'd be on the front page of the Daily Telegraph for killing such a sweet old person on the road who would never ever be responsible for an accident...

Hahahaha, I was there today, It's still there. It's had a jhead on smash, Not much of it left though.

From picknpayless entrance, you go down to the 2nd last lost of signs, then take a right and down to the end, and it sits next to a gen 4 rx7 and a exa.
