Just recenlty got HID lights installed in my s13 and jeez it opens your eyes on what u can see at night. Especially since in my area it can get pretty dark. Even though someone died when they were crossing the road and a car didnt see them and unfortantely hit them, the damn council still havent installed any decent lights.

Anyone else have HID lights insatlled on their car and what do they think of them or any problems faced in the future?

i have gotten HIDs installed in my 200.

6000k bulbs and some unknown maxima brand. although the brand aint a big one, the difference is amazing. i can see about triple what i saw before with the standard lights and a lot further too.

got mine installed at carmate in villawood. just have to readjust the position of the projection after its done to make sure you arent pointing the lights into oncoming traffic like i was.

its a good investment for safe driving as well as making your car look spanking.

feel free to correct me if im wrong, but i thought that, regardless of the HID brand you use for the 180 lights, you can never get to stop pointing on the oncoming traffic because it doesn't have the same headlight projectors as in the s13\s14\s15 ??

because they use a reflector that isnt 'aimed' and angled correctly. so yes it does affect oncoming traffic.

the projector style lights are better, but lack the cutoff that a HID lense has

stop calling them globes, they are burners. globes have a filament inside them that glows when current passes through it

Just to answer for the guys that send me private mes, I got my HId for about $300 but it varies so u have to shop around. To install them u can actually do them yourselve as they provide the manual on how to install it. For me since I knew that I have clumsly hands and also since my s13 is getting fragile I didnt want to do the intstal and left it to the pro to do it. It cost about $100 but if u feel u can do it afyter reading the manual than by all means go ahead and do it because the steps is not that hard.
