hopefully can make it down... sounds like it would be an awesome day and would be good to meet some 180 owners and get some ideas, all the ppl in bathurst with 180's are too up themselves to give you the time of day...

hope to see you there.

I might be up for that as well if it's likely to still be going after around 2pm as I'm working in the morning.

Zei: Give me a buzz if you're going mate, and we'll see if we can meet up on the way or something.

Well,Zei and I made our way over for this one.

I arrived and booked in at 2pm,got onto the rollers at 6.30pm after several delays and changes to the order (which I was compensated for with a 5L bottle of Nulon Synthetic oil) and watched my 4.3L luxo barge put down 155.4kw atw.
Entry into the event gave us a free can of drink and something from the bbq as well, which was a nice gesture.

Zei waited until 6.15,but had to leave for other committments,so he didn't get to run his car,and was given a refund.

Biggest figures I saw were from a poxy-coloured GC8 WRX that spat out 292.8kw,an Evo 6 that ran 310kw atw,and an R34 GTR that put down 280.5kw.
There was apparently another R34 GTR earlier in the day that put down 600kw!

A few cars didn't look particularly healthy, and had runs aborted early,or made poor figures, which were reflected in their poor AFR data. A turbocharged mirage with mixtures in the 16's under boost, and a matt black VL with a twin cammed w/big single turbo RB up front that was running in the 10's for fuel, before backfiring and jumping to almost 15 in the top end come to mind.

There was quite a big crowd, probably 200+ cars. I think the tally when I left was 85 that were booked to go on the dyno. I was around #72 or so in that list. Lots of people ripping around on the street out the front too...

The day was dominated by Evo lancers, which is no surprise to me,as they're the current in-thing.

Overall,I was glad to get a baseline figure for my car,and despite the delays and long wait time, had a good afternoon.

yeah it sucks i couldnt wait and they threw in those half-dozen evos to push me back further.

would have been nice to get a baseline before the major mods start for my car!

no biggie, have to wait for another one
