It's been waaaaay too long since we've been out at Marulan Driver Training Centre (MDTC) to visit Garry & his crew.

A great little track with tight corners and perfect for track virgins who want to give circuit driving a go.

Date: Saturday 31 October 2009 (Yes, HALLOWEEN!)

Venue: Marulan Driver Training Centre (MDTC)

Price: $120 per driver, $65 for secondary drivers, $25 for passengers. A $5 refundable magnet fee is charged at time of payment.

Limited to ~40 drivers, with driver training included in price.

Spectators are free and welcome!

Bookings:
jayne@circuitclub.com.au (I will send you a booking form)

Hey guys & girls,

Please book in ASAP. I am travelling interstate late next week so we need all drivers signed up & paid up by Wednesday 28 October.

After that it will be hard for you to track someone down to book in for MDTC...

Thanks!!!

My best there is 43.00. Apparently no street car has bettered this yet

The track was nice and exciting :D
Its very short, technical, and also fun.

In an S15 you spend most of the time in 2nd gear, 3rd gear for the main straight, a little in 3rd gear for the very little back "straight" with the kink in it.

I went ok. The first session I was just having fun, feeling out the track. I got sideways on a lot of corners, sometimes I got sideways on purpose :P

Before I went on for the 2nd session the guy told me to take it easy ehehehe.
I tried to drive properly on the 2nd session, more smoothly and getting the braking points, entry and exit speeds all good.

Unfortunately I retired after the 2nd session, as my rear left brake caliper started leaking brake fluid!

I had a passenger timing me, by the 2nd session I was doing consistent 44's. Best lap was a 44.54.

If the car had held up the whole day I would have run under 44.00. Ill have to try another time TMB :)

So in conclusion, if you haven't been to this track, I think it is worth while to check it out. I think it can improve your driving, even if you have hit Oran/Wakefield/The Creek several times.
