I read that Elias' car ran 1:15 at Oran GP.

jonosx is aiming for 1:19 at Oran GP.

jonosx ran 1:07 at wakefield...

am I missing something???

In what way?

Big difference in power between the 2 cars, probably similar weight, OP is a bit longer and has the faster straight so that difference is magnified.

yeah thought it would have been the track layout that gave the S2000 greater advantage, just didnt think it would be that much quicker considering jono's car is quick at wakefield

then again the s2000 does run 10's and jono's car has 'only' 180rwk

what does the S2000 run at wakefield?

That S2000 has done 5's or something with John Boston behind the wheel. I think the owner does 8's

So how did everyone go after I retired?

I don't even know if I got to do a full timed lap.

You aren't inspiring me with confidence!

I wanted to put 250rwkw through my box....

I eventually started dropping my times but mental barriers regarding braking points were still getting in the way.

I got an 11.6 in the last session of the day according to the lap timer. Haven't checked natsoft for results yet and didn't think to look before leaving.

TMB's day didn't improve....

I did best lap of 1:09.1 in the first timed session.

Then 1:08.99 in the second timed session.

Then 1:08.88 in the third timed session.

Finally got into the 1:08's and topped the timesheets in the last 2 sessions :D

Happy as :P

Still there are alot of areas for improvement but really happy with how today went.

Was also good to put faces to names/avatars!

Coming onto the back straight in 4th there was a loud bang, followed by lots of banging and rattling noises.

Stuck it in neutral and rolled the car all the way back to my spot in the sheds.

Managed to drive it home, 4th was the only gear that doesn't work anymore, and just turned the radio up very loud to overcome the loud rattling of the gearbox.

I have a feeling there is either no teeth left on 4th, or 4th is missing all together...

time for something bigger and better in terms of gearboxes. Just got to figure out what to do.

I had a pretty crap day.

1st session. Car made it about 100metres then blew and intercooler hose. Had to be towed back (you aren't allowed out of the car)
2nd session. Car made it 3 laps then blew a different cooler hose. I managed to limp back to the pits though
3rd session. Car made it 3 laps again, then blew the same intercooler hose at the same place on the track. Limped it back to pits
Turned boost down and put double clamps on this time
4th session. Car survived, but the new tyres still weren't scrubbed it, so only did 1:09 flat
5th session. Car made about 3 laps then blew turbo-manifold gasket, leaving me with 0.4boost and a very noisy and smelly car.
6th session. Drove hello kitty nugget. Damn its slow down the straight, and noisy. Didn't get a clean lap due to traffic, but it was fun regardless

Also, whoever has video/pics, put them up!

Dunno. Camera is a piece of crap and when I got back in the battery was already dead. I haven't checked to see if the battery lasted any laps

I have some footage both in and out of the car.

The in car footage is very average (hand held... by the passenger)

One good vid shows me, tmb, dave and the blue 180 for 3-5 laps.

Will try and upload it but the file might be too big (5 mins taped in high def). Is there anywhere I can upload it?
