AUTOSPORTS WAKEFIELD PARK TRACK DAY
SUNDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2008

* As per our normal track days, we will be running 5 groups.
* Full timing facilities available which will be recorded on Natsoft.
* We will be have 10 minute sessions
* We would like to have everyone arrive before 8am. This way we can get everyone signed on and ready for the drivers briefing which will be at 8.45am
* The first session will start at 9.00am sharp and the last end at 4.30pm
* $180 per driver.

We will also have John Boston down there for Driver Training at no further cost

The next Wakefield Park day is also going to include the new ‘Time-Attack’ sessions in the middle of the day.
We will simply run one car on the track with an out lap and a hot lap and then straight in.

There will be the following classes which I know are simple and I know could have numerous variations, but I want to keep it simple. This is purely for those who want a little more competition but don’t want to bang doors. Think of this as an introduction into the “Time Attack” scene and maybe let you measure up against the guys actually competing in the Superlap series.

* 4WD Turbo
* 2 Wheel Drive N/A
* 2 Wheel Drive Turbo

We will have these trophies at each event. Each winning driver will have their name engraved onto it and they will either retain it for the next event, or hand it over to the person who was faster than them

The winning car and driver in each class will have a feature segment on the new Autosports website that isn’t too far away.

There will be some other prizes but we will confirm those just before the event. We will also start to have a lot more Autosports merchandise for everyone at the next event. I may even have some demo stock within the next few weeks in which people will be able to order before the next event and pick up on the day.

One thing guys and girls… please don’t leave your registration to the last minute. Get your names down straight away so I am not chasing people down.

sub 10? Wouldn't you aim for a 1:08 as dumhed did a 1:09 before you modded it further. Or is this more of a shakedown?

Cant make this one unfortunately as we are going to EC on the 21st.

Whats the next track day do you guys have planned after this?

There is no concrete plan for any days after this one. No club seems to have anything scheduled at the moment

It's still the same basic car with a bit more weight taken out (mostly in the rear) and the diff swap/no wing/new semis.

The skyline was bullshit fast on the straight and reasonably quick through the corners. This car needs to be fast through the corners to get a good time so i have to increase my corner speed and hopefully the balance hasn't been thrown out too much with the weight reduction.

Also running on a different brand of semis for the first time so need to figure out what they like.

the silvia was quick through the corners mainly due to the power down ability. With no turbo, dumhed used to get on it very early and therefore carried good corner speed... I should no, I followed the bastard way too often

interesting to see how it handles and puts the power down with no wing. i just put one on and will not take it off! i guess the 1.5 way will make up for it though

good luck with it and see you at the next track day for sure.. when ever that it is!
