So this day was held today. I'm hoping everyone involved will take the time to scan their dyno sheets to show what improvements were made in the hour they had.

Here is mine:

My car is a Nissan Sil80 with a blacktop SR20DET in it. Some of the power mods are:

HKS gt2530
stainless manifold
555 nismo injectors
greddy fmic
3in turbo back zorst
HKS 264/264 step 1 cams
Nistune daughterboard

Based on my run at the dyno night, i discovered that my power was dropping off pretty dramatically at the top end. My main goal of the day was to get some of that power at the top end back which will improve the speed down the straights at wakefield.

Here is a scan of my before/after dyno chart. I haven't really tested the car out yet as it was raining on the drive home.

The before is black, and the after is green. I made about 15rwkw more peak power, and over 30rwkw more at 7000rpm

Needless to say i'm pretty happy

Lets see...

found out the following was incorrect or broken:
- Z32 AFM dying
- TPS not set properly
- IAC valve not working properly
- Tune was average and compensating the dying Z32
- coils had incorrect dwell time setup so breaking down at high rpm/boost
- small boost leak found

after a new Z32 AFM and filter, tuned the car on a safe 12:1 AFR and made 185kW...not alot more but the car is 10x better to drive around, smooth responsive no stuttering like it was before.

all in all it was well worth the night, but burned a hole in the pocket a little bit with fixes lol!

dyno sheets when i get to the scanner at work...

Mine's still fucked. boost control problems. It also still displays different boost control issues on the dyno than it does on the street.

On dyno, boost drops off to 15psi at 4500 and actuator can't close.
On street it creeps above the set boost as you approach redline.... :x

Well mine was a step backwards from what I previously achieved as per below. The mods changed since then was a 6boost manifold vs stock and a 'open' Tomei dump pipe vs the split GReddy one.

Image

I've lost power everywhere which is quite disappointing. The lil turbo just wouldnt hold boost to redline like it did before and we fiddled with the AVCR for a while but it was pretty much maxed out. I think it may be due to the dump pipe change but I'm not really sure. Even then I might have only made a handful of kw right on the top end at the expense of midrange. I'm pretty tempted to go back to the stock manifold. The tune was pretty much spot on - couldnt really play with anything there. We did mess with the VCT just for kicks and the optimum point for me was aroune 5900-6000rpm so we bumped it up a notch from std. The midrange really died in the ass with it off, and the power nosedived quickly when leaving it on past 6000rpm.

Ah well t'was a good night, many thanks to TMB and Yavuz for organising it.

Ok, here are my car details.

sr20det redtop, running sr20de loom (distributor)
S15 turbo
S15 injectors
S15 fuel pump
Tomei step 1, 256 11.5mm lift cams
cheap fmic kit
3" turbo back exhaust
Nistune board

Yavuz spent much of the first half of my hour doing the basics in terms of ignition and fueling through the rev range on standard wastegate pressue. Then put some more boost through and tuned it as best he could running 11psi.

Here is my dyno sheet

Image

I was very happy with the result, and even more chuffed when Yavuz told me I should make over 200rwkw easily after sorting out fueling issues.

Even though the outcome was good, I still need to find a replacement engine or rebuild due to a knock on cylinder 2 big end bearing.

Many thanks to Anthony for organising the day, and Yavuz for his time and talent.
