Just wondering if anyone was interested in attending either or both of the above??
I've run legal mods workshops (using an RTA authorised engineer) and they're pretty good in terms of Q&A regarding all the DOs & DON'Ts of street legal modifications for your vehicles.
Location would be at my Youth Centre (well not mine but where I work) in Carramar - around Fairfield.
We've also got a big sreen & projector where I'm planning on screening Initial D (the movie to the cult cartoon)...it is in Japanese with subtitles but if you love your drifting, you won't care.

I have a tentative date (to be confirmed) for Monday 25th Feb 08 from approx 6pm depending on feedback - I can adjust the time to suit the majority of people.

Cheers, Christian.

The when part is open for suggestion for now - I'd rather organize a night that suits more people...but if not then I'll go ahead and set a date soon.

Yeah he'll probably shake his head but it won't go any further. He's used crazy cars as examples before but it's only to make a point and give you the right (legal) advice on mods.

Did I mention FREE PIZZA or BBQ???

So does the engineer actually look over everyones car and give advice, or is it just a question answer sort of thing?

Well it's a presentation with questions & answers included. He'll normally cover everything and then ask if anyone wants to use their car as an example. Most modifications on street cars are basically the same, but to different extremes....but basically he'll cover legalities/safety of exhaust & emissions, suspension, brakes, wheels/tyres etc.

Actually no. I have helped co-ordinate these meets with Chris and Fairfield City Council in the past.
Christians offer to hold this night is genuine.

Actually NO.
I understand your concern but the police WILL NOT be attending....even though I have had them present in the past with ZERO problems.
I have had my fair share of defects & run-ins with the police and the aim of this is to better inform car enthusiasts of legal & safety issues around modifications....and even tips on how to deal with the police...not to lure them into a trap.

Don't forget the free feed.

It'd probably be in February some time but I'd need around 20 people or so....more than likely on a weeknight.

I'll try to set it for around February and aim to give about a month notice.
