My timing was done on the aims timer. Dave and Anthony used lap timers of some sort which are pretty good.

Yeah another fun day! MUCH less traffic that the last CC club day which was nice... offset by the same Rx-7 being towed thrice.

Thanks to Dave for a first class ride in the barge, and to Anyhony for a run in the cursed Sil80.

I was having a quick chat to Ivan (one of the Circuit club organisers) at the end of the day, and he asked me if I could promote the next circuit club event on SilNSW:

Quote:
Circuit Club Store is our new place of operations where we will be handling all our bookings, planning our future events or just hanging out - Circuit Club style! And if you are in the market for some new Trackday/Motorsport apparel, it’s also a place where you can now try on all the latest gear from Alpinestars and Arai Helmets.

In celebration of our Grand Opening, we are holding a BBQ, right on the premises in our very own carpark! Come hang out, have a sausage or two and donate a gold coin to the Spastic Centre!

There will also be up to 15% off all our Trackday apparel – just in time for Christmas! Check out the details below…

Saturday 8th December 2007
12pm Onwards
Circuit Club Carpark
Rear of 1/142 James Ruse Dr
Rosehill NSW 2142

RSVP Narada: narada@circuitclub.com.au, or call 0402 425 401.

I know it sounds like advertising, but i'm mentioning them b/c they seem like a good bunch of guys genuinely interested in/comitted to getting more people racing off the streets, and have organised some good events this year, catering for all experience types.

The sil80 is alive again. Basically had to pull the whole front end elevtrics to pieces and eventually found where a power wire was shorting on the body. It was the part of the engine loom that runs across the firewall behind the head that powers the injectors etc. That part of the loom got so hot from the long thrash session that it melted all the conduit and the wire shorted.

It took with it a half dozen fuses and my ECU though...

This is the first time THIS car has let me down there.

At least the Cef made it home under its own steam. I was just lucky that Dumhed could help me out and tow me home this time

It was a really good day, look forward to when I have something reliable and fast enough to warrant taking it on the track. Mind you there was an mighty Starlet showing a few of the so called performance cars a thing or two
