Hey All,

I would like to invite you all to join the SAU (Skylines Australia) girls and boys at the next trackday being organised by motoconcepts. (Note: that this is not an "officially" SAU organised event)

How it works.
(For those that have not been before.)

Moto Concepts organise all the track stuff and we pretty much just tag along.

I organise to take non refundable deposits and then call motoconcepts and book some spots. If we get 15 cars along we get a quite resonable discount.

Then everyone meets on the day about an hour before the safety briefing and we fill out the required forms.

We usually get around 4-5 sessions on track which are organised into 3-4 groups which are graded depending on car type, performance and driver experience.

SAU have some regular track day attendees and we usually get those that have not been around eastern creek before to either go out with these more experienced drivers in the first session or take them/let them take newbies out in their car to give out some pointers and help the day be more enjoyable.

What You Need to do to pass scruitaneering.
Basically you need to make sure that your car is road worthy.

A decent approved helmet in good condition, one that fits. AND MUST BE FULL FACE
Full-length clothing not polyester or synthetic materials, rather cottons and wool or race suit.

Fire extinguisher recommended but not essential (secured properly). Full tank of fuel as you will need it.

MUST Remove all lose items in the car prior to going on track.
Make sure your car has plenty of brake pads and fluid changed if has not been done in last 12 months. Do a safety check prior to getting to track. Check cooling system is in good order, and coolant is fresh and clean. Suspension is tight and not worn. Wheel alignment is a good idea. No side wall damage to tyres. Make sure you have plenty of pad material on your brake pads.

Date: Thursday 3rd April 2003
Time: 1 - 5pm on the Track (Need to arrive between 11:30am and no later than 12midday)
Venue: Eastern Creek International Raceway
Cost: If we have more than 15 cars $130
If we have less than 15 cars $140
Deposit: $50 Non refundable required BEFORE Sunday 23rd of March
Event "Debriefing": To be conducted at the Cricketers Arms at the conclusion of the days track activity

Deposits can be payed through transfer into an account (unfortunatly SAU account not set up yet so it is a personal account at this stage) or in cash on Saturday the 22nd of March at homebush 6c between 11am and 12midday.

If any of you guys are interested or have any questions then please post here.

Cheers,

Dan.
