Post subject:  Feedback request: Event frequency

Hi guys

After opening the entries for the skidpan day and having it fill completely within 24 hours, I started wondering if you kiddies were starved for events.

What I am after here is feedback on the number of events you would be willing to attend. Seems to me that one skidpan day per 6 months isn't often enough to fill your cravings, but the dyno day frequency of about one per 6 months if about right.

Also if we considered holding a Wakefield Park trackday at about $160per head, how many people would come? I'd need about 50-60

Remember this is serious feedback. Don't go saying we want events every week. I need to fill every event we have else the club loses money. We make no profit at all from holding these events, and it is a great deal of effort.

Thanks for any sensible replies

Here is what I would suggest.

Skidpan days = 3 per year
Dyno Days = 1-2 per year
Wakefield days = 1-2 per year

The above maxing out would cover 7 months of the year (thats pretty often). Minimum is still an event nearly every second month.

Here are some other events that need changing.

Birthdays = 0.5 per year
Public holidays of any sort = 2 per month

I think i could comfortably fill 3-4 skidpan days per year, and 2 dyno days per year.
I think i'd be lucky to completely fill ANY Wakefield days though due to the softness of alot of the members here

Also extending your other suggestions, I think Christmas 4 times a year should be implemented

I don't think the club would have to book wakefield days at all, only because of the availability of their "SPEED OFF THE STREET DAYS".

Maybe we could just have a "wakefield park SPEED OFF THE STREET DAY" sticky, where people can say if they are going along or not to the next available day.

The cost is only $100.00 per day, plus $50 for your yearly license.

Only catch is, it seems most of these days are during the working week.

ohh, and I say 4 skid pan days per year. One every three months should be affordable for most people.

i like 3-4 skid pan days. i'd even go to 5 but that would make working dates out hard.
1-2 dyno days is spot on.

track days though, i think its best if we collaborate with other clubs or just make an effort to get the group of people who would want to get on the track join up on the many organised events like circuit club or what not. but its worth TRYing to organise at least one.

/end 2 cents.

As said, I think it'd be hard to fill the wakefield days as there aren't many really serious members. However i'd be down for them.

I think you should organise another skidpan day and see if it fills up quickly also; there've only ever been problems in the past with getting people to pay.

The difference is we would get timing beacons for the extra money  (correct me if I'm wrong anthony)

A few skidpan days a year would be good, Ive been to 2 this year and a wakefield day, with one of each in the next month and Im pretty happy...

what about a pub day/night... somewhere in the city or close to public transport so people can have a booze up and not have to drive...

or are you talking solely about driving events?

This is a pretty alright idea.

I'm mainly talking about car events. There are other driving forums around already catering for non-drivers

True Driving spirit?

..

Organisation of pubcrawls or dinner after a silviansw even would most likely be what would happen.
