I went off twice up there (on different corners). The mud made it a bit softer :)

Sounds like you boy's had a good day !

Good to see the goblin on the track.

I use a AIM's laptimer very accurate and very user friendly. Highly recommend you get one if lap times are important to you.

Thats the one I was looking at, is that your model? I thought I had a link to a dealer quoting $250 but I can't seem to find it now.

If you can get that for $250 I would be keen

lol the 4th corner (if you count the kink as a corner) is a fun but tricky bastard! I find the fish-hook is the toughest - just cant get the power down and if i try too hard it spins the tyres, hits the rev limiter and cuts out

The fish hook is okay if you carry enough speed into it. Ive found the GTR to be completly different to put through the turn compared to the silvia. The GTR really needs to be slid into the turn otherwise it just understeers.

Another thing to try guys is leaving a good car width between you and the apex of turn 1 (the kink) Doing this really does open up turn 2 and really does make a huge difference to your straight line speed on the back straight.
Particularly if your wanting to overtake.

Hitting the apex of turn 1 I never really had to brake all the that much for turn 3 but holding the extra width and opening up turn 2 I found I really did have to pull the car up lot more coming into the top section.

Im currently using Kumho V700's which work a lot better than the previous RE55's I had.

I found my V700s got up to temp a lot quicker than the RE55S, but I did end up going faster with the RE55S - which may have been mostly due to driving better...
Once I wear them out I'll go back to the Kumhos for a comparison.

After doing some more searching the retail price seems to be around $450 for transponder and beacon. I must of seen a transponder only price or something because thats nowhere near $250 :-?
I'll keep an eye on ebay.

I may be able to provide a good deal on some newly developed lap timers pretty soon, but I'm not sure when they'll be available as yet.
