I went and had at look at the motor show (darling harbour convention centre) tonight, some pretty cool stuff on display! Anyway since I suck at taking photos, I thought people could post photos they take here, have a chat about the show too!

My favourite quote of the night was some knob referring to the carbon brakes on an f430 "Oi lets go look at something else bro, this ferarri's shit, the brakes are rusting!"

Another thing that made me want to hit someone was the guy at nissan giving a presentation of the "foria" concept ( http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2005-Nissan-Foria-Concept.htm ) when he said "its keeping with traditional nissan styling, its very silvia-ish, very 200sx-ish"

It was a pretty good show if anyones tossing up whether to go or not...

p.s. If anyone has/gets a photo of the wierd tread pattern bridgestone potenza tyres on the mazda concept (also on some of the other concept cars rocking 19's) please post them up - theyre some weird looking tyres!

hehe, if your going on the closing Saturday and Sunday, look out for me at the Mercedes section, and please dont grub up the cars and make them look dirty, cause I have to clean them.....

BTW, some of the models in the Alfa section DAMN!!!

Motorshow is awesome this year, I was there on Wednesday evening assisting in setting up the cars ready, the Mercs where detailed before arriving at the show, but they where still filthy, I couldn't believe it, the rims where covered in brake dust, the seats had arse-marks and crap, there where stones and leaves on the floors, etc it was a massive job to bring the 30+ cars to show-quality, and I can only imagine most of the other car stands had the same problems....

Might see some of you at the show.

If i'd rank the best cars, then the top 5 are:

1) Ferrari 559 GTB (0-100 in 3.7 sec :o )
2) Nissan 350z Track (the red one if you've been there already 8) )
3) Evo 9 MR
4) V12 Twin Turbo Mercedes ( a tag price of 284k :o )
5) HSV Holden ( a tag price of 100k :o )

Well, 4 days of work done at the Motor show, probably 4 more to go, and I have made enough money to replace my clutch already, so this week will be half for mods on the car, and the other half for the better half (she's upset because on my first night at the car-show, I was caught having dinner with the brunette pictured above).

If I had my choice of cars at the Mercede's section, I would go for a 6 speed manual version of the SLK500 (yes, they do come in manual, BUT you have to order it in manual, and wait 4 months for them to specially build the manual and ship it over for you, BUT it's $3,000 cheaper as well).

Yeah the Audi R8 was a shining star 8) . For sure with a price roughly 300k, it is worth a look :) . i like the sharp ends of it. I liked the Audi TT as well, hot in red :)

My work is having a go with the "Mini Chase" (which is part of the motor show I believe).
There's a little racetrack set up at Wharf 8 at King Street Wharf and a professional stunt driver is taking people around the track in a Mini. I'll be heading down there in a bit over an hour... should be cool!
Haven't been to the show yet... not sure if I will go this year though

i thought the motor show was much smaller this year i go quite often esp if there is something i wanna see the AUDI R8 :o AND THE SAAB 2 cars you gotta drool over the saab was a 2.8l twin turbo 298kw i loved it. But the cars were of very high quality jus to many smaller cars not enough sexy concept cars with outrageous specs but gotta say also that merc v12 twin ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh, might ask my dad to sell everything he has to we can live outta the car family of 5 could do it right !!!!?????
