Stock should be no restriction, if you know what you're doing. And its not like most of the twisties in easy reach of the north shore let you use your million rwkW.

Saturday night for me is a definite maybe. I might have something on, but I haven't heard anything yet.

As for the day (night), it doesn't bother me too much. If we post a meetup point that's not Thornleigh Maccas (or another popular haunt) we shouldn't get picked up. I know the cops read the forums, but more often than not if a whole bunch of modified sports cars show up at the place everyone starts their cruises from then you don't even need to put it on a web site. Especially since the cops working the night shift have no-where else to buy lunch at that hour...

And if we don't publish a route, they can't really lie in ambush for us (above the hot spots they'd be marking out anyway, without knowing we'd be there for sure). We can just pick one of the several routes. If we pick up attention from the police on the way out, we can just all disperse.

This sounds fantastic, so I guess it's similar rules to last time....

* You just have at least thrid party property fire and theft insurance
* Not road worthy, DONT SHOW
* UHF radios if you have them (Channel to be announced on the day/night)
* Leave your hero attitudes at home, we are only out to drive.

Yep, stock shouldn't draw you back at all, I remember last cruise I went one when my car was completely stock, except for the turbo modification (which wasn't a good thing, my turbo lines where slightly clogged, so was getting pretty much minimal oil through), and I was able to pass a Skyline GTR (he wasn't pushing hard), and also an S14a (which was starting to suffer brake fade), and was able to keep up with the first group without to much issues, but then I knew how to drive my car pretty well at that stage.

Stock only means it's stock speed, which is pretty quick when driven properly anyway.

ESP if its raining with my baldies... ill be there but will disappear from your rear views after every corner :)

I picked up my car last night and it's a long way from being finished. Unfortunately this means I'm out for the weekend.

Hope you guys have a good run.

I suggest if you have bald tires, DO NOT DRIVE on them at all, let alone somewhere that you might be pushing the car slightly.....

It makes things dangerous....

Seriously guys, decent tires, decent suspension (I dont mean adjustable coilovers or cusco racing suspention, just suspension in good condition, not saggy or bouncy) and you should be fine.

Last cruise, I had slightly worn shocks in the front, I had a dodgey T25 turbo that wasn't spooling properly, and wasn't getting enough oil, and a stock boat-anchor CA18DET, wasn't overly experienced, but goign at my own pace, I was fine.

There is usually the quick group, and the slightly quicker group, and seriously, it's still street driving, it's not a race track, so dont think you need to be Mark Webber or Craig Lowndes, just dont push yourself to far, and you wont have a problem, and there will be re-grouping points, so you wont get left behind or lost.

I also suggest UHF radio, because the people up the front more often than not relay valuable information which will dictate your cornering position, etc, and if you have mechanical problems, you can radio them, and someone can fall back and assist you. (Just dont let Rsk11n get up the front making shit up about what's coming the other way, rks11n, I never saw that truck moving the demountable coming the other way on the last cruise).

my tyres aren't completely bald just nearing the end of their life so if its dry and i stay at the very back of the pack i should be right. and if we get pulled over by the cops can they pin us for that bullshit under the anti-hooning legislation?

and if its set for friday night i wont be able to make it (end of work week socialising :))
