Hopefully it'll be much cheaper than Nizpro's effort.

Sure they make 394kW with theirs, but spending $45K on an engine in a $60K car is just crazy.

I hope the owner upgraded the brakes from the stock Touring ones.....

HKS has a "full" single turbo kit (so everything you need, like APS') that runs 0.8bar for 340kW.

There's also the GReddy twin turbo kit and the Power Enterprises twin turbo kits. Both pushing around the 400 horses mark.

My plans for the 350Z will depend on my budget.

Unless something miraculous happens, I won't have the $20K+ to properly engineer a turbo upgrade for my vehicle. I'm guestimating that the HKS single turbo kit will be at least $15K (I think the full Stillen 350Z supercharger kit is about USD$8K). Install will not be cheap.

I'll probably do your standard bolt-on power mods. Exhaust, cams, ECU (though the latter will be expensive since there's no PowerFC yet, and fuck knows what a piggyback does to a throttle-by-wire car) and maybe new induction. It'll still make 200kW at the rear tyres or so, but that's not much for a 1.5 ton car.

Should I be Bill Gates' new charity, well......twin turbos will only be the beginning. I'd adapt the ATESSA 4WD system that's in the Infiniti G35x to go with my newly found boost. Got GT-R in a 350Z body? :)

Of course, given that the G35x is the Skyline sedan, and so has a longer wheelbase and more room under the bonnet, that might cost a bit too. Check out the link though; that 4WD drivetrain is quite impressive.

Its hard tuned, Japanese and a demo car. Of course it'll be laggy. :)

When Japanese guys go all out, they couldn't give a toss about flexibility or throttle response. Just big numbers. Especially since the car will probably only be used on the strip or the track.
