dear god!! Please before you guy it.. ring around for a few spare parts for that car and see how many times you have to repeat the type of car and part..

they are rare..

sure it hauls arse but gettign parts for them... forget about it..

The Sierra was sold before I could get the money together but after that drive in it I think I'm sold. The owner is a Cosworth expert who imports Cosworth cars and parts from the U.K very regularly so I think I'll pay him a visit when I get my act together. Thanks for the warning anyway.

I like the Liberty RS but I heard the turbo can get very laggy. The Cosworth has won my heart, if I can't get the money together to get a decent one I think I'll have to go for a GTi-R.

my two cents!
Rex = ...like a pubic hair.... evryone's got one.
GTiR = it isn't a rex.. both a good and a bad point.

Did the rex you drove have climate control? and how was the price comparison?

Well I'm not too impressed with the Rex after going for a ride in the Sierra. I didn't check the Rex very thoroughly but I think it was going for about 22K, I will look at a nice white '93 GTi-R tomorrow going for 17K.

Car: None of your fucking business
I have a beautiful 90, white VR4 for sale..
$13K and would put both the GTiR and WRX to shame in terms of performance and comfort..

dude your vr4 will shame the gti-r in performance?? nice, respect to you :)
Personally, my pick of those would be the gti-r followed by the vr4.... check out issue 9 of speed if you need a bit more convinceing of the gti-r ;) nice white one with hr 125's, 12.4 second timeslip and 227kw at the wheels. :D:D i recently re-read this issue (yes guys it is *OLD* :P) and it made me think "why the hell did i buy an s13??". well slight exageration, but yeah ;) it is beautiful!! never been a huge fan of the wrx for a couple of reasons, but it looks like you've already ruled it out ;) for 15-25k you could get an awd turbo gsr lancer. I'm quite a fan of these. inconspicous looks, 145kw, 0-100 in less than 7 secs, aus deleivered, good build quality...... ;) that saisd, the vr4 would be a good alternative as well. 150+kw, 4g63t, tough drivetrain good (subjective) inconspicous looks, awd, comfort plus, good performance, quite ceap to purchase and insure...... hope i made your choice tougher dude hehe, kidding ;) but there are a fewnoptions out there. personally i like the gti-r, the vr4 AND the gsr. value for money = vr4 handsdown ;)

You mean the GTi-R in speed magazine or the speed of a GTi-R?

I'll fuckin say! That's one of the reasons I don't want to get one anymore, I saw a chick driving one in the city today, tell me that isn't a kick in the nuts.

Allan GTI-R, what is so disgusting about it?? Nice, smooth simple paint, nice simple gold 5 spoke wheels, low enough suspension.
also good power figure and 12 second timeslip........
I don't find anything abd about any of that ;)

Then you would have loved the RS500 the Cosworth guy I saw recently sold:

"51000 Miles Colour: Black

Originally exported from the UK as a Lottery Prize in New Zealand this genuine RS500 is in almost original condition undergoing a $12000 respray to bring it back to "as new" condition - no expense spared, full compliance and registration in NSW. All the usual RS500 extras Intercooler 8 injectors T4 etc. Modification include Mongoose 3 inch exhaust multi layer head gasket Coil-overs"

You should have seen this thing, fuckin beautiful to say the least.

I'm on a budget mate, I don't think I'll spend anymore than $20K. I read that the Liberty GT does not come in manual in Australia yet, but a 6 speed manual is on the way i think.
