"Stock vs Stock" comparisons have been done. The Supra can beat an RX7 on "most" tracks.

I know this isnt a good pic but if this is the type of supra your on about then there is no way they would beat an rx7 s5 stock for stock.

This thing on the pic was stock and from the way it was going round the track it looked like it was trying hard too. I beat it in my S12 with soft suspension.

Anyway i know i cant judge all supras by what i saw so if you have proof then id be more than happy to see it!

:)

I can't see your pic but here are 2 pics

MA70 and JZA70

hmm..i have seen a 1Jz-t going under the 15 year rule, it would make sense that it would be a later model, so i guess i spotted a converted one :)

Comes out of the spray shop in 2 weeks, will post pics then. :)

I've bought a few extra bits while its been off the road, should be sweet once I get it back. I've got the same rims as the first pic - Work Equips

Theres a DVD and a few short versions of that DVD online.
A few of you have probably already seen it.
Its a stock vs stock comparison between : GTR-VR4-RX7 S4-Ma/JZA70 Supra(not sure)-300ZX.

The GTR wins on the track(by a good 5 seconds) followed by 300ZX and then by the Supra(.6 second difference) followed by RX7 and then VR4.
The "stock" RX7 just bogs down too much in the corners

I know "SPL" has a copy of the Video, IM him see if hell host it for you.

I got HSV ultra violet, I saw it at the show.

Its exactly what I wanted. Its like a black purple colour.

Check out the HSV web site. Its flash so I cant link to the video,
but checkout the video of the clubsport R8(same colour as my car) under multimedia, its not a bad little video, Skaiffy does some burnouts etc. :D

GA70 - 2 litre straight 6 twin turbo 1ggte -- high revving engine, not much torque. Some models came in a ugly narrow body.
MA70 - 3 litre straight 6 single turbo 7mgte 185 KW J spec-- plenty of low down torque and the stock turbo can be high flowed for plenty of power.
-- a Turbo A varient of the above has bigger cams, MAP sensor engine and upgraded suspension -- 500 ever made.
JZA70 - 2.5 litre straight 6 twin turbo 206 KW J spec-- The first of the J series Toyota engines, Beatiful straight power curve and a solid as rock bottom end. Very high and reiable power outputs. The only problem is the stock ceramic turbos can't take more than 14 psi or so.
-- The R varient of the above has better suspension, Momo gear knob, Momo steering wheel and Bilstien suspension.

Hope that helps. :)
Sorry don't know much about the RX7's.

Didnt the Turbo A come with the HKS gasket??

And whoever said the 7MGTE is shit, has no idea! Other than the common HG problem, they are just as good as the 1JZGTE! There is one in Melb making 650rwkw! They are nice cars, wouldnt mind one myself, but definatley the JZA70!
