Hey guys, I've produced a video clip of my cars and a couple of my mates. It's a pretty large file though it's worth downloading.

Most of it is of my RS2000 race car, though there are also WRXs, GTRs etc in it.

Enjoy!

Phew so its not just me. I was wondering why it was only downloading at ~5kb/sec instead of my usual 35kb+

One thing about the clip though, next time let us hear the car sounds!

It's slow because everyone is downloading at the same time.
I have 256Kbps of bandwidth for you guys to download with.

The other direction is 1.5Mbps. Too bad it's only for incoming traffic.

:)

The R32 has a lot more power than my car. I only have 96kW at the wheels. No turbo.
It's great under brakes though! :D

How do you get 35kb as your usual speed?

As for the clip... dunno if I would say 'awsome', but a good effort nonetheless.

P.S. Escorts SUCK

My guess would be broadband... Most probably some flavour of DSL, or possibly a woeful cable service...

I am on a Netpsace DSL 1500/256 plan, I can get upto around 175k/s download and 25 k/s upload.

I used to have Optus Cable at my parents palce got upto 1M/s download and only 16k/s upload.

Australian broadband = crap, other countries for our $50 a month get unlimited and faster than ours...

But I thought speeds went from 256k/s ----> 512k/s, so your usual speed would then either be around 26k-bytes/s or around 54k-bytes/s :-? Am I wrong?

Sorry about thread hijack

Well I should probably be getting close to 54kb, but on a semi dodgy phone line and running 2 pcs on the one connection doesnt help.
