I can help with the screen Zei. it will be the same IIRC so if it's in good nick,we'll remove it along with the front end and anything else of value.

I also know a guy for re-fitting it,and another for towing away of the gutted carcass.

Justin...

yea the windscreen will fit, definately take the front end off the n12 seeing its getting scrapped anyway n whack it on ur exa, maybe do a et rear disk brake conversion to it too, there was a guy a few months back in liverpool who was wrecking n12 exa's and et's if i can find his number i'll find out if he still has some rear disks laying around and also if he has anything else of interest for you.

hahaha looks like a yankie car!

ill strip the panels off mums old car and keep them for a potential conversion. would be cheaper than trying to find new motors if they die

Hey Zei just did some more research for ya n found something interesting.

The following is taken from n12turbo.com:

1680CC Stroke Job

There is available a naturally aspirated E16 N12 Nissan Pulsar in both Sedan and Hatch body shells. These cars will be dated as 1986-on sales. The crankshaft from this E16 engine will fit with standard E15ET rods and custom pistons. These pistons are required to prevent travel of the piston beyond deck height at top dead centre, an effect which will occur if standard E15ET pistons are fitted to the long-throw crank assembly.

Alternatively the standard E15ET pistons can be used with E16 crank and rods. E15ET pistons in this application will require a crown shaving to shorten the distance from crank centre to TDC, again to prevent deck height penetration.

Sounds pretty good for ur car abit l8r on down the track, maybe get Justin in to help out with shaving the crown part *hint, hint* *nudge, nudge* :D

hahaha my first turbo car was a '84 Exa. It was so shit I went back to NA afterwards I was so disappointed with Turbo... LOL hahaha.

Actually my Exa was pretty good, had 230k klms on it when I got it, and still going pretty strong when I sold it.

I got whiteline to make custom sway bars (stock doesn't even have one at the back) and that made the world of difference to the handling...

have fun!

ok so this machine is now running...........sorta

it will idle, but any rpm over 2.5k and it wants to stall and die. backing off the throttle and it will keep running.

im thinking AFM, coil or fuel pump. its sparking on all 4, and injecting on all 4 as well. ive changed the plug and the fuel filter.

any idea what might be wrong? all connections are checked and stuff.

i have 2 ECUs so i might swap them over to see what the go is, one might be chipped who knows??

hahahaha, you remind me of the exact same issue that I had with my EXA. Occasionally it would do similar symptoms, usually at traffic lights where you want to make a quick getaway - put the gas on and it coughs and splutters and wont accelerate.

Turns out it was the ECU connector to the loom. Unfortunately doing the bolt up tighter didn't fix it.

Try your other ECU - see how you go.

(of course this problem could be caused by many things)
