I used to own a N/A sw20.. had it for about 9 months until the engine gave out and i bought my s15.

The sw20 mr2 is a great car.. the 3SGTE isn't as easy to modify as the SR20DET, but it's not all about the power. Very fun to drive, don't really need too much power to have fun in it. definitely not as easy to drive as the S15, but felt like it was a more rewarding car to drive.

if you do go for one.. go for a > 93 turbo model if you can. lot of improvements over the gen1. also a pretty good mr2 community!

i miss my mr2.. but i wouldn't trade my s15 in for one :p

owned a mr2 spyder before, really slow 0-100, mainly due to the semi auto gear box...

but great power to weight ratio...

awesome around corners... no prob taking a monaro around tight corners, but ate plenty of ducst on straight... abit scary in the rain... as i wrote it off in the rain arounda corner... :'( need alot of skills to get the full potential out of it... where as other cars that i drove, able to fluke it abit...

laid my hand on camry sportivo v6, accord euro, dc2, evo6, cooper s, and driving a rolla stivo myself~

Ive got an AW11 n/a now but im selling it as ive bought a 180sx, handling is great stock, real fun to drive, bit like a go kart, it is underpowered but has a close ration gearbox so it feels alright, you really need to plan your corners though as if you back off during a sweeping corner the rear can come unstuck, but i never really pushed the car to its absolute limits for that reason

the MR2 have some sort of stabillity controll...

... From factory if you try to do sharp connering it kinda steers for you, i went to a AUto Sport TRACK day, and one guy was getign peed off at his MR2 cos he wasnt able to turn the corners the way he liked due to the stabillity control

AW11 or SW20? I wasnt aware of any MR2 with stability control, maybe he was just understeering like a bitch

It was probably because the engine's in the back.
