Nice find. I wonder if they do come in, if they will be the same spec as the Jap ones. J-spec and Prestige will be unhappy about that news.

The 2WD Skylines have always been plush and relatively soft. Its only when you let modifiers at them that they got harder and harder.

If they bring the Skyline in, it'll be the V36. All the importers can still bring in the V35 and try and undercut. I don't know if they'll bring in the coupe, what with the 350Z already being there and at their estimated price.

that's easy to avoid as there won't be any more of them.

as for skylines being sold here again,I'll beleive it when I see one in a showroom.

I remember reading about some things before where someone from Nissan was being interviewed about some of their upcoming projects, and he mentioned how over the years Nissan had changed and they're not just bound to making family cars and such that the general public want, and they're now able to branch out and begin on new sporty projects and such . . . soooo, this could mean there could still be hope on a new sil series ( /insert lots of hopeful reactions here )

what cracks me up is how the manufacturers here bitch and moan about grey imports and how they cost them sales yadda yadda yadda, but do they sell anything similar in their showrooms? nope.

the best toyota offer atm is a corolla with a weak bodykit, and a v6 camry with a new name along similar lines.
nissan have the 350z.
mazda has the gutless rx8 and bloated mx5's.

I wonder if nissan australia sales executives slap themselves each time an R33 GTSt drives past them in traffic. that one model alone is irrefutable proof enough that they've dropped the ball.

coming in now 13years on with a nissan-built soarer equivalent is not going to help them any. like new SC430's,they'll only sell a handful,to rich old pricks.
what they need is a return to the cheap and cheerful sporty models of the past.
the Tiida is a flop, the zed is overpriced, and there's nothing else in the middle. when the new skyline flops as well, they'll blame the punters for not buying them, and not their poor choice of model to import.

All true - at least Mitsubishi got back in the game with the Evo - to steal some of the market back from the WRX...but we definitely need some rwd cars at a good price with some big nuts or at least the potential.
