there was actually a company called Motech Systems, and they did sell exhausts.

Yeh, I'm confused as to what to get out here, the Evo has the ECU that prevents you somewhat from getting the huge gains that a catback would normally fetch on silvias. The stock exhaust on the Evo is ok, it's actually quite loud for a stock car, I was surprised. But I do feel it strangled at the top end, I run out of puff, just like a stock turbo'd silvia, but at around 5k rpm. But also, I have only put 600 miles on it, so maybe it needs to loosen up more. I was thinking of going the Titanium catbacks, they're around the 800USD mark, but am afraid of making the car too loud as I'm in a quiet neighbourhood with lots of kids and they'll probably be calling the cops the first instance they hear my exhaust from a few km's away, lol.
