Hey All, Well after putting my 180 on the market for a few months looking for swaps/trades.. A deal was finally done and It is better put together than the 180 was so I'm looking forward to a couple of nice mods in the near future as it's a daily cruiser!!! The mods so far: Front mount intercooler 3' mandrel bent exhaust CAI in factory airbox A massive BOV that I will probably plumb back. Vertex Bodykit that actually fits quite well Lowered pedders springs shocks 16' rims I picked up on ebay for a steal as my old dish wheels dont clear the bigger calipers. Kenwood sounds system Future mods: Nardi dish steering wheel Dished wheels with good offsets Move the rear muffler back so the tip extends past the rear bar Heres a few pic's for now and I'll update as new mods are added Enjoy, Phill

It's shinier than the banana Wouldn't be a bad idea too get yourself an oil pressure guage in it soon as you can, couple of people I know with 1JZGTE's in the past managed too annihilate the bottom ends, I dunno if this is a problem with the engine, being who it was and what they where probably doing at the time. I'm thinking it was probably just 'user error' as most Toyota engines are pretty fkn tough. |

There will be no inialiating of bottom ends in this car, it has a good service history and I'm only using it for a cruise mobile!!! LOL at the user error I reckon you could be onto something??? -Phillb |

The one who I shall only name as 'R' was fond of trying too catch my poor little Sil in the twisties up near, well I'd rather not say because we where being bogans, and used too make a point of revving his poor beast too an inch of its life fairly regually on the straights too catch up... Well I guess he found that extra inch one day. 'B' as he shall be called, managed too demolish his doing what came naturally it seemed by living his life a 1/4mile at a time, because its when he felt alive. Start car = 1/4mile too shops Stop car = 1/4mile home again Go too work = 1/4mile between the traffic lights P-Plater in stock 1997 lancer at traffic lights = extra booting. It had 3 settings, stop, flat out and exploded. I sold 'B' a SSS 180B in perfect working order aside from surface rust on its boot and 140,000k's. Great car, never, ever gave me a problem in close too 2yrs. He blew it up in 3 months. User errors... |
