Few of these filtering in now, just wondering what people know about them in terms of reliability and so on, being a Mitsubishi I'm kinda wary of them as they tend too have some dogs (Lancers) and decent models (mirages) and aside from the weight, which is quite chubby but it seems too have the goods.
Leastways with the technology and engine (the twin turbo) which seems quite sound, parts look like they might be a bitch too find but seeing as they where sold over here as the 3000, thinking they probably have some in country.

Thinking of selling up at the end of the year, getting something else like an R32, 34 or S15 but this was something that had me thinking might be an alternative if it wasnt a complete grenade that blows up at inoppertune times.

I've heard they're quite bad at the cornering side of things and they have similar problems to the Z32 in terms of working on the engine.

Spoke to a guy that had one, mildly modified, and he said it was a bitch to work on and to add modifications. Also said it was a bit of a gas guzzler :(

Har!
Guess thats a resounding "Its shite!" and time too keep looking.

Yes, the S15's are definatly coming down in price to the point where I'd consider breaki... owning one. Given I walk too work now save buckets on fuel and running costs, over in North Ryde now, gave Dee Why the arse! :)
Where you living these days Dum?

From memory it was built for the American market to compete with the Corvette.
Apparently on paper it's very GTRish (electronic handling gizmos and twin turbo 6 etc) but in the real world it's intrusive and ultimately crappy.
EW mounted V6 (the car has fwd roots) with twin turbos = bitch to work on.
Pretty much what everyone else said.

So are mildly modded S13's, and no where too use that speed short of a race track.
Yeah theyre a 6G72 V6 which got bunged into magna's, pajero's, verada's and think they even sold them too Hyundi and the yanks at one point, pity they look good on paper like you said.

no personal experience, but only read bad things about them.

they seem more like a cruiser then a sports car

They were actually a joint production between Mitsubishi and Dodge US(Chrysler) and in the States they were marketed as a Stealth

my brother has one, he loves it.
as everyone else has said, the engine bay is very tight and a b*tch to work on but its got the goods.
speed, power, handling and comfyness inside. with mild mods it would go quite well.
it can beat lightly modded gtrs hehe
