Hey guys,

Thinking about my next project already, and the TT soarer is very tempting.. especially when you can pick up a nice example for 13-14ish.. and the shape is growing on me! I have driven one many years back and I still remember the car being ultra wide and slightly heavy but overall an enjoyable experience.

btw I mostly do highway driving everyday so this is a big factor!

other cars im considering:
s14 s1
cefiro
r32

the soarer is holding the #1 spot atm tho..

hmm

What's your initial purchase budget? Under 20K?

The Soarer is definately a bargain considering the ammount of features etc.

Id be looking at upto 15ish for a nice example, towards the end of the this year.

Ideally id like a later model single turbo vvti but that would be more $$

I've got a bit of a thing for Chasers ATM. JZX100s are out of your price range but the JZX90s might fall into your category - If that floats your boat (excuse the pun!)

im a huge fan of chasers also, would love a jzx90.. pretty hard to find tho, and you wouldnt really have your pick like you would with a soarer.

never know tho, got a while before I will be buying the next project

the soarer is the pick for pimped highway travel, with room to up the ante on power easy (but not so cheapy)

i see plenty of soarers, but i dont see one really nice eye catching one at all, maybe its time to put the redline touch on one dude :)

If it's just highway and cruising around then the soarer is an excellent choice. I'm assuming that ultimately you are looking at a luxo barge and so the other 3 listed are a bit cheap and nasty in comparison but do have their advantages.

I'd write off the 32 and cef solely for the fact that they are rb20 powered and won't be the best cruisers in that regard as they need revs and a bit of work to keep them on song.

r32 4 doors are really cheap and so if you're willing to ditch the 20 for a 25 or 26 it could be a reasonably priced option and would improve it dramatically, but it still wouldn't have the interior comforts of the soarer.

A redline soarer would be a mighty beast indeed

Stick a 2J in the cressie dave!!!

Otherwise I think a soarer would be a good choice.

Or get a 20B JC comso!!

trust me I was considering, but the soarer has so much more potential in the shape / interior and aftermarket parts.

edit: found a nice gallery
