Don't bag the Datto's!

I'd love to get a Sunny and squeeze a SR into one...

I had a datto 1600 when I was but a young bastard about 18years ago that I managed to destroy. Car before the Sil was a SSS180B which was a whole shitload of fun, I was going to keep it actually and have it as a run around while I had the Sil for being an even bigger lout in. But a friend offered me $800 bucks for it, he'd just got his P's and I needed new tires :D
"Its old, keep it off redline or the engine will pop."
"Yeah alright"
Off he goes.
Blew the fucking thing up in about 3months which, admittedly was about 2months longer than I expected however and was sort of disappointed that I couldnt buy it back as they stripped it and sold it off to some dodgy(er) bastards.
Mate after raping my poor old Datsun senseless went off and bought himself a Mk3 supra, which even had the fooly sic flames on the side and just looking at it you could smell the big-end bearings burning...

Which he managed to do a few time in it I think before getting rid of it so I didnt feel too bad about selling him a datto that he managed to blow up in short order.

Dattos are cool.. But without the SR/CA powered S13s...I reckon almost all of the Dattos (1600,180b,1200s, 120Y) would have died out 5 years ago.

So respect to the S13-S15 owners who crash their cars and supply the cheap parts to keep our Dattos on the road! :-)

If I didn't have a Datto..I'd have an S13-S15. :-)

So love all Nissans equally.. except for maybe the new Tida or whatever it's called.

Peace.
Chris

Respect your elders, without the introduction of Independent rear suspension in the 1968 model datsun 1600, the S13's and later wouldnt be half the car handling wise they are today.

As long as its nissan/datsun, rear wheel drive and modified, im a fan.

Yeh if all you dori boys didn't got out and get big loans, not insure there cars and then crash them none of us would have engines/boxes/camber tops etc.

Honestly I think you boys are little closed minded on the topic
