Just install it yourself dude.

All you need is a current tester (from repco etc.)

As long as you hook up the;

Battery - Current on without key in the ignition
Ignition - Current on with key on ignition 1
Ground - Screw into bare metal somewhere

Its really just trial and error for the speakers.

:)

toyota and pioneer, you are in luck! as with nissans, the wire colourings are the same. it appears to be a standard now for some cars and aftermarket units.

i say do it yourself. make sure you properly tape or heatshrink every join you make. the last thing you want is a short in there

just go into autobarn, repco or supercheap and buy a wiring loom for the car. Then all you will have to do is solder the wires together...they will even be colour coded, then just plug it in...easy as !!

The plug should only cost you around $15

for a switch for the sub only, just hook up a single throw switch inline with the remote wire for the amp ! that will switch the sub amp on/off :)

ok its a simple switch you can get from jaycar for about $2, it has on/off positions, its proper name is single pole single throw (SPST) switch, so if you ask them for that they will give you one

there is a wire that goes from your head deck to the amp which is labelled as 'remote' wire, it will be called the same thing regardless of head deck brand, check the wiring diagram provided with the manual

when your deck turns on, it sends a 12v signal down this wire to the amp, telling it to switch on. so if you have a switch on this wire to disconnect/connect the wire, it will turn the amp on/off, below is a diagram of the wire

deck []----------------| |------------------[] amp

...............................^switch...^remote wire

hope that makes sense now :)

all good now, got it done.
pretty easy when i thought logically about it. but had some trouble with the amp and sub (getting through fire wall and running cables) , all good now.
