Does anyone know what sort of price i should expect to pay for a 1985 nissan gazelle s12 in reasonable condition no rust etc

wouldn't pay any more than 2K. but it depends on the model grade, klms, and the amount of rust in it.

Price can vary pretty wildly, i'd go with what umai said and not pay over $2k. I've bought a few S12s in my time (4 i think...) and the most expensive one was $1100, it had 12 months rego and a little rust in it. The others were all sub $500, inclulding the rust free example that is now my turbo S12 .

you seem to find all the bargains!!

my auto one which was riddled with rust when i bought it (i've gotten rid of pretty much all of it now), cost me $1600 with 5 months rego, and my manual one cost me $1400 with 122 months rego.

it's very hard to find one that hasn't had the crap thrashed out of it, or free of rust, or in good condition body-wise.

looking back on my situation, i wouldn't recommend one to someone else.

so if i pay $200 for a manual with good clutch and gearbox and it doesnt blow any smoke , bit of rust on the rear wheel arches(quaters) ok interior then im doin alright??? its 3 dAYS out of rego so all i need is a pinkslip to rego it

i got my wholesale for 1200 with only a 50 piece of surfac erust under the mud flaps in front of the rear wheels... wa sresprayed in 2001 paint and every panel in perfect condition wa sowned by an old gentleman who had kept a diary of everytime they evan replaced a light globe... its 1984 solid axel model, sinc eiv owned it iv stuffed it and dirfted it into the ground but was cean when i got it and still pritty much is

Don't know about prices, but I saw a CRAZY conversion in one the other day.

VH45 DE (i think 4.5 litre V8 it was) this is owned by one nutty kid up my way who is fitting a big turbo too!

Yes, the S12 nuts know about that car and I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are looking forward to taking closer looks
