The car's an absolute monster. A 400hp Evolution Lancer with a full factory warranty is like having all your Christmases come at once.

I'd assume that the car drives like a pig off boost, with all the work done to it, but as a weekend weapon it would be awesome.

This is enough to propel the FQ400 from 0-60 mph in an incredible 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 175 mph. It is a performance that even some of the world’s most exotic supercars struggle to match. The £330,000 Porsche Carrera GT, for example, requires 3.9 seconds to sprint from 0-62 mph, while the ultra-exclusive Pagani Zonda needs 3.7 seconds. The BMW M3 – hitherto the benchmark ‘everyday supercar’ – takes 5.3 seconds to achieve the same feat.

That says it all.Plus the fact it would totally annihilate those cars through the twisties.

New mazda RX-8's also come with a free driver training day, catch is its in melbourne so you have to fly down there for it at your cost.

yeh thats pretty cool, a factory souped up evo, if only there were 200sx's and imagine if there was a factory nismo 200, instead of hearing the sti's or evo's

It'd be nice if Nismo churned out a successor to the 270R.

Since the S15 isn't in production anymore, they can do the same thing they've done with the new R34 Z-Tunes and just buy back S15s in good nick and modify them.

The Silvia and SR20DET deserve the same honour and sendoff as the Skyline GT-R and RB26DETT.

I agree.

One thing about Nismo is that their factory specials use a majority of their own parts, where as the FQ400 has been put together with a variety of company's stuff. To me the FQ400 is a good car but it would seem like buying a second hand car that has already been modified.

Kind of, but it still doesn't ring the same in my mind since "second hand" has a connotation that the car has been driven (if not thrashed) by a previous owner. The FQ400 is still a brand new car that's come from Mitsubishi UK.

Its not like Nismo manufactures their own components. They use companies that service the aftermarket. Weldina and Fujitsubo make a lot of their exhausts. Denso? make their injectors. Garrett makes the turbos. So on and so forth.

However, they will engineer their modifications to ensure that they're safe and long-living. So you can be reasonably sure its not going to pop because the parts don't match each other, and the car's going to be drivable.

The only difference between Nismo and HKS, Mines and the rest (who do churn out "complete cars") is that they can offer a full factory warranty on their cars (and Mitsubishi is offering a full factory warranty on the FQ400).
