ive heard they have a few issues if u boost them up due to where you need to mount the intercooler.

and can have probs with cooling cus of that

other than that its a nice car

It's got practically no boot anyway!

if you had some rediculous setup even running a front mount would be feasible, it's been done plenty of times before,

but the cooler gets plenty of air to keep it unhotful, but i'd say the limitationis the size you can have.

Would you run the piping through the cabin?

boot lid intercooler is the best place... :) draw air up from under the car, and pass it out through the bootlid with a backwards scoop on it.. :)

either that, or not bootlid mounted, rather draw the air up from under the car once again, but cut out holes in the grill between the taillights (this can only be done with the older style tail lights however)

the problem is that all that air under the car is nicely pre warmed by the radiator at the front!

Personally, after looking at an MR2 for far too long in my garage, I'd use a water to air cooler right in the engine bay, with its heat exchanger (radiator) at the front, after ditching the air con.

I don't have a pic of that setup, because the MR2 in question is n/a, but if I were to turbocharge it that's what I'd do.
