Rx's can be expensive to maintain bear that in mind, engine rebuild can cost over 4k easily.

Check out http://www.ausrotary.com for some info and stuff.

Big Boys toys on parramatta road is worth a look, they usually have supras and maybe a gtr or two there.

Also see this thread for some info on the GTR

Correct the 4wd is computer controlled, it only goes into 4wd mode when the fronts loose traction or spin.

So it doesn't sap power like a wrexy or GTir

actually it sends more torque to the front when the rears lose grip :)

So it has constant 4wd, but has a different drive bias when losing grip?

Correct?

as far as i know its a torque split like on some rally cars and lambo's murcielago

100% drive to the rear wheels, torque is sent to the front when needed, up to 50%.

if it was going to be 4wd, id go GTR anyday ... purely because of driveline reliability
wrx gearbox is horrible, gtir not much better
but GTR's seem to handle anything thrown at them..

ehheh yeh i agree with ya mokompri....
is gtir gearbox like wrx???
cause wrx gearbox r the worst....
is it cause their 4wd thats y they r easy 2 blow???
or cause ppl launch them at like 5 -6 and it blows up??

well, with 4 wheels being driven the gearbox has to take all the load if someone dumps the clutch at high revs. With 2wd it'll ease the load by spinning the wheels.

Most gearboxes won't handle mega high rpm clutch dumps with 4WD, but the GTR one is a lot larger and stronger than the WRX or GTiR box.
