targa tops usually came auto, they ceased production of manual boxes 96' due to emmisions. end production run was 97, 98 models were leftover 97 chassis

For the amount of money one of those cars would cost you, you could buy an SS Commodore and drop a supercharger or twin turbos on it. The thing would be a monster down the quarter.

If you're into drags, a Commodore or Falcon would get you down the quarter faster, for less.

The cheapest importer i have found is John at www.yahoomotorsport.com

His service fee is only $300. Compared to $1000 to others.

If you have a car your interested on Prestige's or J-Spec's website email or call John.

All Taraga Top Supras come in Auto. Supras started in 1994-2000, best ones to get are 1995.6 and after, bigger brakes etc. For reliability, and fuel ecnomy (When Modded) the Supra is on top, no doubt. RX7 is the hottest car of them all, but fuel economy is SH!T!! Same with the GTR! But, when buying a performance car, fuel economy is usually not taken in account. Id definatley go the Supra. S15 are sweet, but the gearboxes arn't very strong. R34 GT-t IMHO are just damn UGLY!

BTW, Efini FD3S are the Jap spec versions, the Aussie delivered are NOT called Efini, they also have rear seats, where as the Aus doesnt. ;)

rx7 , no rear seats?? :-? so whats in the back , could you post some pics plz bro

and for a cheap quarter mile car , a ss commodore? what da heellllllll .........id say one of those old datsun's with an sr20 , or a rx3/rx4 or early rx7 ( all with 13b turbos)
