If you're concerned about reliability, you're pretty much narrowed down to the S15 or R34 GT-t, since they're the newest cars.

All the cars listed are clearly sports cars, so there aren't any that are less likely to be thrashed than others. They're also all turbo, so you don't have the "NA engines aren't as stressed" thing.

The S15 is an Oz-spec, so getting servicing, repairs, parts etc will be easier.

As for the engines, the SR20 and the RB25 are both known factors. There are a wealth of aftermarket parts for them, and Nissan builds good engines.

Between those two, it depends on what you want. The R34 is a larger car, and so its not going to be as nimble as the S15. A the same time its more comfortable and stable.

If it were me, I'd probably buy either an S15 or FD3S. But then I want something that's light and quick, and comfort / practicality aren't as important to me. The FD is faster, but the S15 will be newer and have an engine that doesn't have a reputation for blowing up or drinking petrol and oil like water.

FD3S is Mazda's internal code for the Series 6 RX-7, aka the Efini. The FC is the Series 4/5, aka the Savannah.

Like S14, S15 etc are Nissan internal codes for Silvias.

is your mate the dude in the Ignition Street Dreams DVD? that car is on the front cover? but the guy in the video if that is ur mate then i know who u are talking about.

personally, id go for an r34 gtt - i have seen a few around and even though they may not have the menacing looks of a gt-r, they still look like mean cars at that.

cheers,
mark

they're all different cars. it depends what you want to do with it.

I'm not you,so my choice may be totally different...
I don't even fit into an FD,and barely fit into the supra,so they aren't in the running right from the start.
I would most likely take a spec S S15 with those choices as it best suits my needs. small and light enough to be nimble, rwd, and posessing good power and suspension. best choice of that list for winding roads.

if you want to drag,go the skylines or the supra.
if you want to hit the circuit or the country roads,go the rx7 or the silvia.

Justin...
