at any rate it might be fine to see some nissan/subaru/toyota guys who are used to chopping standard falcodores with poorly modified cars run into some competition from a local manufacturer, i laugh

true

but they are only JUST getting those sort of power figures, Nissan, subaru etc have had them since the early 90s.

they are still WAY behind!! but with a 4L turbo, of course they are going to be faster. its a 4L motor to begin with!!

Dont forget guys, australia is small market. You cant expect local manufacturer to spend big bucks on R&D just to make 18million ppl happy.
Ford is very brave spending so much money to make the BA successful.
Look at mitsubishi and toyota for example. They dont even bother build a v8 rwd to compete and yet toyota have the biggest market share. Nissan is funnier, everybody wants a rwd skyline but they want to sell maxima instead.

my 2cent

Toyota have the biggest market shared based on total vehicles sold, but are they beating ford or holden in the falcon/commodore catergories?

And magna have gone AWD to compete with RWD aussie cars.

trouble is, mitsubishi will find out what subaru found out, AWD is expensive and really doesn't sell that well, seems australians are cheap bastards

i'd go awd though!

every 1 bags out the xr6t all though you got to rember that its main aim is a family market (husband wants to be a drifta) lol:) and not built for speed and everything else and i belive that ford done extreamly well....

I found that their is a cobra stage 3 kit for the xr6t which produces 1000hp so wen ppl say the holden motor is better .......bla bla i belive not

what i say is look at the Rb'z they are top motors their straight 6 turbo.... same with the barra 240 straight six turbo

and i dont hear much talk about the 300zx v6 turbo.......... all b\c of cost and that is quad cam i belive.... to put on a turbo on a commodore v6 twin cam will never be a kit ...because people wont go for that.....

but wen u can drive ur ford to aps and drive out a day later or so and have 300Kw thats were the market is ....i say good on ford for pulling their b@lls out and producing a competitive car.....

cant wait to see the typhoon i hear 550Nm at 2500 or 3000rpms
